THE KIJIJI’S COMMUNITY

FUCKUP NIGHTS
Fuckup Nights Nairobi is part of a global event series that shares stories of professional failure. Each month, in events across the globe, three to four people get up in front of a room full of strangers to share their own professional fuckup.
I have attended two of them. It is definitely a great event that allows us to be assured that everyone makes mistakes and that we are all capable of going beyond our issues in order to achieve success.

NAIROBI STEW
Nairobi Stew is a community dinner funding microgrants for community projects. It is built on the belief that Ksh 500, four pitches, stew and a vote is all you need to make incredible things happen in your community.
Nairobi Stew is one of those events that you go to and are truly inspired to go out and make a difference in the world. I have been immensely inspired to think of a project that I can implement in my community.

THE FUSE
The Fuse is an event series of conversations and connections around how best to do business in Nairobi. It is organised in collaboration with B-Lab East Africa and SHONA who are partners of the Kijiji community.
Business is what makes the world go round – but is the way we run our business a driving factor for making the world better, or worse? Your supply chain might be powered by enslaved workers without you knowing. Perhaps you just can’t seem to get that tender without the dreaded kitu kidogo. Or you struggle to lower your business carbon emissions.
We believe business should be a force for good. That’s why we partnered with SHONA and B Lab to create a platform where business owners and managers can discuss a better way of doing business, and the Fuse was born.
